Good news for law aspirants! AILET 2026 Exam Dates have been revised!
In a notification, dated July 22, 2025, merely 1 day after the CLAT notification that left everyone shocked, National Law University Delhi came up with the revised exam date for the “All India Law Entrance Test – 2026” for admission to their 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M. programmes.
The revised date for AILET 2026 is December 14, 2025, 2-4 PM.
Just as in the previous year, there is a one-week gap between the two exams, with CLAT 2026 taking precedence.

Earlier, NLU Delhi had already published the exam dates in a notification, dated June 17, 2025, as December 7, 2025. But the Consortium chose the same dates for CLAT 2026, and so NLU Delhi had to shift the exam by one week to avoid a dip in exam takers and also in favour of law aspirants in 2026.
Along with the exam dates for AILET 2026, the exam calendar for AILET 2026 has shifted one week ahead. Find the exam calendar below:

AILET, also known as All India Law Entrance Test or NLU Delhi Entrance Test, is a law entrance test conducted by the National Law University for admissions into its 5-Year B.A. LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D programs. It is a national-level test, attracting a total of about 20,000 students.
There have been two AILET notifications this year.
On June 19, at around 5 in the evening, NLU Delhi released the first AILET notification for admission in its coveted programs for the academic year 2026-27. The second and revised notification was released on July 22, merely hours post CLAT 2026 exam date release.
Apart from the exam date release, candidates were also informed of the registration start date. As there is no further mention of a change in the exam pattern or eligibility criteria for AILET, it is best believed that AILET 2026 is going to follow the exact same pattern as AILET 2026.
Below is the exam pattern for AILET 2025 which is likely to be followed in AILET 2026.
