SLAT Results 2027: Date, Scorecard and Merit List

The SLAT Results 2027 will be declared on 12 January 2027 (Tuesday) on the official website. Symbiosis International (Deemed University) will publish scorecards for both SLAT Test 1 (19 December 2026) and SLAT Test 2 (26 December 2026). Candidates can download the scorecard by logging in with their SLAT ID and password.

The result is the first checkpoint in the admission process. Admission to Symbiosis Law Schools depends on a shortlist for the Personal Interaction (PI) round and a merit list that adds the PI score to the scaled entrance test score. This blog covers the SLAT 2027 result date, the steps to download the scorecard, score calculation, cutoff, the merit list, and the stages that follow.

How to Check SLAT Results 2027?

The scorecard is available only on the official SLAT website. The steps are:

  1. Visit the official website, https://www.slat-test.org/.
  2. Open the SLAT 2027 scorecard or result link shown on the homepage.
  3. Log in with the SLAT ID and password created during registration.
  4. The result will appear on the screen.
  5. Download the scorecard as a PDF and print it.

A candidate who has forgotten the password can use the recovery option on the login page or write to the helpdesk listed at the end of this blog. Keeping two or three printed copies is sensible, since the scorecard is requested again during later stages.

Details Mentioned on the SLAT Scorecard 2027

The scorecard is expected to carry the following information, and each entry should be checked against the registration details as soon as the file is downloaded:

  • Candidate’s name
  • Application or registration number
  • Category, where applicable
  • Section-wise scores
  • Overall score
  • Details of the test attempted

Only candidates who took the test are entitled to a scorecard. SIU treats it as the candidate’s official result, and a candidate cannot take part in the further selection process of the institutes without it. The same applies to the authenticated admit card, which SIU does not reissue if it is lost, so both documents should be kept safe until the admission process ends. A candidate who is admitted should retain the scorecard until the programme is completed. Any mismatch in the details should be reported to the SLAT helpdesk at once.

SLAT 2027 Marking Scheme and Score Calculation

SLAT 2027 is a computer-based test of 60 questions to be attempted in 60 minutes. Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking. All five sections are mandatory, and a candidate may attempt them in any order. The SLAT exam pattern page explains each section in more detail.

Section Questions Marks
Logical Reasoning 12 12
Legal Reasoning 12 12
Analytical Reasoning 12 12
Reading Comprehension 12 12
General Knowledge 12 12
Total 60 60

SIU states that the published scores are final and are not open to appeal or revaluation. If a question paper contains an error, the Scrutiny Committee decides how to handle it after the test, and that decision is final.

SLAT Best Score Rule for Test 1 and Test 2

A candidate may appear in both tests. When more than one test is attempted, the higher score is used for the final percentile calculation. SIU does not apply normalisation between the two tests. Its stated approach is to frame the question papers so that the spread of question types and the level of difficulty stay comparable across both tests, which means no candidate gains an advantage by choosing a particular date or by taking both.

SLAT Merit List 2027

The SLAT merit list is prepared by each campus on a combined score of 100. The entrance test score of 60 is scaled up to 70 marks, and the PI carries 30 marks. A candidate must attend every component of the PI to be considered for the merit, wait or reject list, and a candidate who misses any one component is treated as ineligible for admission.

Institute Entrance test (60 marks scaled to 70) PI Total
Symbiosis Law School, Pune 70 30 100
Symbiosis Law School, Noida 70 30 100
Symbiosis Law School, Hyderabad 70 30 100
Symbiosis Law School, Nagpur 70 30 100

Waitlist movement depends on the seats that fall vacant. Merit list dates for 2027 are yet to be announced. In the 2026 cycle, the first merit lists were released between 10 and 16 February 2026, about four weeks after the result.

What After SLAT Results 2027?

The selection process after the result runs in four stages.

1. Shortlisting for the Personal Interaction

Candidates are shortlisted for the PI on the basis of their entrance test marks. Shortlisting is done programme by programme, and each campus releases its own list on its own website.

2. Personal Interaction Round

Shortlisted candidates attend the PI, which carries 30 marks. The 2027 structure on slat-test.org lists only the entrance test and the PI as components of the merit calculation. Candidates shortlisted for more than one programme must attend the PI for each programme separately, and they should carry the authenticated admit card from the test day.

3. Merit List, Wait List and Reject List

Each campus publishes its own list after the PI, using the 70 plus 30 formula described above.

4. Fee Payment and Confirmation

All admissions are provisional. A seat is confirmed only after the fee is paid on or before the due date and the eligibility conditions of the programme are met. Candidates must complete the formalities separately for every campus where they receive an offer.

Conclusion

The SLAT Results 2027 on 12 January 2027 decides who is shortlisted for the PI, and the PI then carries 30 of the 100 marks in the merit list. After downloading the scorecard, candidates should track the campus-wise shortlists, keep the PI documents ready, and complete the fee formalities within the deadlines.
