Every CLAT aspirant's journey is different; that's why CL-LST's CLAT preparation strategy is built around three simple stages that adjust to your starting point and timeline.
Stage 1: Build Your Basics
Start with the fundamentals: read a newspaper daily to build current affairs knowledge, grow your English vocabulary, learn core Legal Reasoning principles, and practice reading comprehension regularly to improve speed. Most CLAT aspirants make the mistake of skipping this stage and jumping straight to mock tests - don't do that.
Stage 2: Practice With Purpose
Once your basics are strong, move to focused practice. Take section-wise tests under time limits, attempt full-length mock tests every week, and review each wrong answer carefully to understand where you went wrong. This stage also helps you figure out how much time to give each section based on your strengths.
Stage 3: Sharpen for the Exam
In the final phase, stop learning new topics and focus on revising important, high-weightage areas instead. Increase your mock test frequency to build stamina, and work on fixing the mistakes you identified in Stage 2. This is also when you build exam-day confidence - deciding your attempt order, staying calm under pressure, and knowing when to skip a tough question.
