The National Law University, Delhi (NLUD) administers the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET), a national entrance test, to candidates for admission to the undergraduate and graduate legal programs it offers. AILET is considered one of India’s most prominent legal admission tests, and AILET 2026 will be conducted on December  14, 2025.

Latest Update – AILET 2026 Result Released

In a notification dated June 07, 2025, NLU Delhi released the date of AILET 2026 to be December 7, 2025, but post the release of the CLAT 2026 notification, NLU Delhi changed the date to December 14, 2026. 

The AILET registration process 2026 starts from August 7, 2025. This post will go over the AILET registration details as well as the steps to fill out the application form.

AILET 2026 Eligibility

Candidates must meet the following common eligibility requirements for the AILET test to be considered for undergraduate or graduate programs.

It is important that one adheres to AILET eligibility criteria as it becomes the first clearance step to sit for the exam. 

UG Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the BA LLB (Hons.) program, applicants must have received at least a 50% aggregate score on their 10+2 test.
  • Candidates from the SC/ST category must receive at least 45% of the possible points in their class 12.
  • The AILET 2025 test has no upper age limit.
  • Applicants who are now enrolled in class 12 can also apply. However, they will be required to present their marksheet at the time of admission else the admission will be denied.

How to Fill AILET Application Form 2026

The following steps below outline how you can register yourself for the exam.

  1. Visit the official website of NLU Delhi at https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in/
  2. Click on ‘Register or Apply Now’ where you need to create a signup/ login account by providing the mentioned information, such as Name, E-mail Address, Date of Birth, etc.
  3. After selecting “Confirm Registration,” sign in once again and complete the application by entering your password and registered email address. 
  4. As the exam is administered for both undergraduate and graduate levels, applicants must choose the course for which they are applying. Candidates must choose from the BA LLB (Hons), LLM, or Ph.D.
  5. After choosing the course for which they wish to be admitted, applicants must click the “Apply Now” option to move on to the next stage.
  6. After successfully making an AILET login account, applicants may fill out the form to finish the NLU Delhi admissions application procedure. Candidates must also enter the required information as given below in the application form
  7. After that, candidates need to upload their photograph, signature, and other documents (listed down below).
  8. The last stage in the application procedure requires candidates to pay the AILET Application Form 2025 Fee as listed below:
  9. Online mode: Applicants can use an online payment portal to pay the application cost with a credit card, debit card, or net banking method. To pay the application fee, candidates must choose the “Online Payment Gateway” payment option, enter their card or net banking information, and complete the payment.
  10. Offline mode: Candidates must choose “Cash Deposit at Post Office” as their payment option if they wish to pay the application fee offline. After choosing their city and the closest branch, a challan will be created. After creating the challan, download it and pay the charge in cash at the designated branch within 48 hours. Within 72 hours of the fee being paid, the applicant’s account will show the revised status. 
  11. Candidates must double-check the information they submitted on the application and submit it online only when the application money has been paid and the status is visible in the applicant’s account. Print copies of the completed application form as well for your records.

Documents Required for AILET 2026 Registration

The following is a list of documents needed to complete the AILET 2026 application form.

  • Class 10/ Class 12 mark sheet.
  • Certificate and mark sheet of graduation (for LLM, if available).
  • Transfer Certificate.
  • A passport-sized photo with a white backdrop (format:.jpg/.jpeg; size: less than 1 MB) is required.
  • scanned signature (.jpg or.jpeg format, maximum size 1 MB).
  • BPL certificate (maximum size of 2 MB) if you fall under the BPL category.
  • Passport (if you fall under the status of a foreign national, or FN) (Up to 2 MB in size)
  • Character certificate (has to be three months or older).
  • Certificate of relevant category (for students in the SC, ST, OBC, and J&K categories).

AILET 2026 Question Distribution
