CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) is a national-level entrance examination conducted for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes at 27 National Law Universities (NLUs) across India.

Conducting Body: The exam is organized and conducted every year by the Consortium of National Law Universities.

CLAT Eligibility Criteria

No upper age limit for UG candidates.
Must have passed Class 12 (or equivalent) with minimum 45% marks - 40% for SC/ST/PwD candidates.
Students appearing for their Class 12 board exam in March/April 2027 can also apply, but must submit proof of passing at the time of admission.
