How to Calculate Marks Using CLAT answer key?

Candidates should always use the approved marking method to determine their grades. According to the official CLAT test format, each question is worth one mark. However, each incorrect response will take -0.25 points. Unanswered questions incur no penalty.

Candidates can use the following formula to determine CLAT scores:

Total number of correct answers - (Total number of wrong answers X 0.25)

For example: If a candidate marks 70 right answers and 20 wrong ones, the overall score will be:

CLAT marks = 70 - (20 X 0.25) = 70 - 5 = 65 marks.
