The GK section of SLAT is divided into two broad areas: Static General Knowledge and Current Affairs. In terms of the syllabus and questions asked, it is very similar to the CLAT exam. SLAT Syllabus 2027: Preparation Tips

Candidates can follow some of the preparation tips listed below to help them perform well in the SLAT 2027 exam.

  • Start with the exam pattern and syllabus: Before diving into preparation, get familiar with all 5 sections, the number of questions, and the difficulty level of each section.
  • Practice with mock tests and sample papers: Regular practice with SLAT sample papers and mock tests is the best way to build speed, accuracy, and confidence.
  • Practise under timed conditions: Attempt questions within a set time limit to sharpen your time management skills. This will help you develop a steady pace for the actual exam.
  • Read newspapers and law journals daily: Staying updated on current events, legal developments, and national/international affairs is essential,  especially for the GK and Legal Reasoning sections.
  • Get comfortable with CBT mode: Since SLAT is conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode, practice on online platforms to get used to the interface and reduce exam-day anxiety.
  • Revise legal concepts and static GK regularly: Legal maxims, constitutional provisions, and static GK topics require consistent revision to retain effectively.
