Here are some SLAT preparation tips to help you prepare effectively for SLAT 2027:
Build a Study Schedule: Create a section-wise timetable and start at least 6-7 months before the exam. Dedicate an hour daily to solving previous year questions - consistency is key.
Stick to Reliable Sources: Avoid juggling too many resources. Pick a few trusted books and study materials and stick to them throughout your preparation.
Take Short Notes and Revise: Note down key points, legal maxims, and GK facts in a concise format. Revisiting these regularly saves time and keeps information fresh.
Read a Newspaper Daily: Make newspaper reading a daily habit. This will gradually strengthen both your GK and Legal Reasoning sections without any last-minute pressure.
Practice Mock Tests: Attempt mocks regularly and analyse your performance after each one. This builds speed, reduces errors, and helps you identify weak areas early.
Get Familiar with the Exam Format: Go through previous year papers to understand question patterns and frequently tested topics. Knowing what to expect gives you a clear edge on exam day.

Following the announcement of the SLAT 2027 results, qualifying candidates must engage in the counseling procedure. Candidates must go through the following steps to participate in SLAT Counselling 2027:
Candidates will be shortlisted for PI based on their SLAT entrance test scores. The cut-off for shortlisting is calculated separately for each programme and each institute. Based on their overall SLAT percentile, a candidate may get shortlisted for more than one programme - in such a case, they must participate in the PI for each programme separately.
Shortlisted candidates must appear for the Personal Interaction (PI) round conducted separately by each Symbiosis Law School. It is mandatory to attend all components of the PI to be eligible for admission. Candidates absent from any one component will be considered ineligible for the merit list.
Each institute prepares its merit list based on the combined score of SLAT (scaled to 70) + PI (30) = 100 marks. Category-wise cut-offs for the merit list and wait list will be displayed on the website of the respective institutes.
Once the merit list is published, selected candidates must complete the admission formalities at the respective SLS. This includes verification of required documents and payment of the admission fee by the due date to confirm their seat in the preferred programme.
