AILET Exam Eligibility 2027

The AILET 2027 eligibility criteria for admission to the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programme are given below.

AILET 2027 Education Qualifications

Candidates must have passed or be appearing in the Class 12 (10+2) examination from a recognised board or equivalent examination. The category-wise minimum marks requirement is as follows:

Candidates who appeared in the Class 12 examinations in April/May 2026 are also eligible to apply for AILET 2027. Candidates placed in compartment are not eligible to apply.

Foreign National and OCI/PIO candidates are not required to appear for AILET 2027 and are selected on the basis of Class 12 marks alone.

AILET 2027 Age Limit

There is no upper age limit for appearing in AILET 2027. Candidates can apply as long as they meet the required educational qualification and minimum marks criteria.

AILET 2027 Tie-Breaking Rule

In case two or more candidates score equal marks, merit will be determined in the following order:

  • Logical Reasoning marks: higher score gets preference
  • Age: older candidate gets preference
  • Automated draw of lots: if the tie persists

Documents Required for AILET 2027 

Candidates must keep the following documents ready to verify their AILET 2027 eligibility during application and counselling:

  • Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets (proof of qualifying marks)
  • Transfer/Character certificate from school
  • Category certificate (for OBC/SC/ST/PwD applicants)
  • BPL certificate (for SC/ST candidates claiming fee exemption)
  • Scanned signature (under 1MB, for the application form)
  • Class 12 admit card or provisional certificate (for candidates awaiting results)

AILET 2027 Application Form

Candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria can proceed to fill out the AILET 2027 application form. The application window for AILET 2027 is expected to open in the first week of August 2026, with the last date to apply expected around mid-November 2026; the exact dates will be confirmed with the official notification.

Candidates must ensure that the application fee is paid successfully; those who fail to complete fee payment will not be permitted to enter the exam venue. The AILET 2027 admit card will be issued only to candidates who have submitted a complete application form along with the requisite fee.

  • Try to complete the AILET syllabus in advance, almost 2-3 months before the final exam.
  • Find overlaps between the school, CLAT, & AILET syllabi to minimize effort.
