Exams Accepted by NLU Delhi - All India Law Entrance Test

NLU Delhi hosts the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET). Candidates are shortlisted for admission into the five-year Law (B.A.LL.B.) (H) course, LLM, and other courses through AILET. This is India's one of the most difficult legal admission examinations, as well as the most intensely contended law entrance examination in the subcontinent, with 25,000+ candidates competing for only a total of 123 places.

NLU Delhi - Fees and Eligibility

B.A.L.L.B. (H)

• The candidate must have passed the 10 + 2 board-level examination from a recognized board with at least 50% in the aggregate.
• The fee for B.A.L.L.B. (Hons.) is approximately INR 1.56 lacs per year (for Indian nationals).
• The course duration is 5 years.

L.L.M.

• The candidate must have passed a bachelor's degree or equivalent examination from a recognized university with 55% overall and 50% for restricted categories.
• The fee for L.L.M. is approximately INR 1.56 lacs per year (for Indian nationals).
• The course duration is 1 year.

Ph.D.

• For law specialization, The candidate must have earned a master's degree from a recognized university with at least 55% overall.
• The fee for a Ph.D. is approximately INR 50,000 per year.
• The course duration is 3 years (minimum).

PG Diploma

• The candidate must have a bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree in the appropriate specialization. NLU Delhi offers three PG Diploma programmes: PGDUEML, PGDTEL, and PGDELP, all in the field of environmental and urban law.
• The fee for the PG Diploma generally ranges between INR 13,000 and INR 16,000.
• The course duration is 1 year.
