Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria set by NLU Delhi before filling out the AILET 2027 application form. Failing to meet these requirements can result in immediate rejection of the application or cancellation of admission even after clearing the exam. Follow the steps below carefully to complete your AILET 2027 registration without errors. Note that incomplete applications and unpaid fees will be rejected outright by NLU Delhi.
Step 1: Visit the Official Website
Go to the official NLU Delhi admissions portal at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. Always use the official website to avoid fake forms or misleading application links.
Step 2: Register and Create Your Login
Click on 'Register or Apply Now' and create a new account by entering your Name, Email Address, and Date of Birth. After selecting "Confirm Registration," you will receive your User ID and password via SMS and email. Keep these credentials safe - you will need them at every subsequent stage.
Step 3: Log In and Select Your Course
Sign in using your registered email and password. Since AILET is conducted for both UG and PG levels, select the course you are applying for - BA LLB (Hons.), LLM, or Ph.D. - and click "Apply Now" to proceed.
Step 4: Fill in the Application Form
Complete all required fields in the application form carefully. Details you will need to enter include:
Enter your name exactly as it appears on your Class 10 certificate. NLU Delhi will reject applications with name mismatches.
Step 5: Upload Documents
Upload your photograph, signature, and all other required documents as listed in the Documents section below. Ensure all files are within the specified size limits and in the accepted formats (.jpg/.jpeg) before uploading.
Step 6: Pay the Application Fee
The last step is paying the AILET 2027 application fee. Two modes are available:

Before submitting, preview your entire application and verify all details. Submit only after confirming the fee payment status is visible in your account. Take a printout of the completed application form and payment receipt for your records.

The AILET 2027 exam consists of 150 questions carrying 1 mark each. There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer - meaning 4 incorrect answers result in a deduction of 1 full mark.

Yes. Candidates can choose the “Pay in Cash at Post Office” option. Once the challan is generated, the fee amount has to be paid at the designated post office within 48 hours, and the payment status will be updated within 72 hours.
The AILET 2026 exam will be conducted on 14 December 2025, in offline (pen-paper) mode in multiple test centres all across India.
For the BA LLB (Hons.) program, candidates must have passed Class 12 with at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST). There is no upper age limit. Students appearing in Class 12 in 2026 can also apply provisionally.
