NLU Delhi launched a five-year integrated undergraduate program: B.Com. LL.B. (Hons.). However, they withdrew the course due to administrative issues.
They may conduct it for the current year; however, there was no mention of it in the notification released on June 17, 2025.
If they choose to offer this program for the batch of 2026-32, AILET 2026 will be the clearing examination to seek admission in the B. Com. LL.B. (Hons.) blended program that explores the intersections of business in the legal world.
In the notification release, NLU Delhi didn’t mention any change in the AILET paper pattern, indicating that it is likely to remain the same as in the past years.
The AILET Exam Pattern for B.A.LL.B (Hons.) program has three (3) sections of 150 multiple-choice questions for 150 marks in total. The duration of the examination is 120 minutes.
The three sections are:
Legal principles may be used in the logical reasoning section to test logical aptitude, but the examination does not require more than basic knowledge of legal concepts
The AILET eligibility criteria are primarily based on two factors:
AILET is open to all applicants who have passed the 10+2 or an equivalent examination. The minimum marks required for each category are as follows:
Note: Candidates who have passed their qualifying examinations(10+2 or equivalent examination) can also apply and take AILET. However, such applicants' eligibility must be achieved before the cut-off date, which will be published together with the Notification of Entrance Test Result, and if such candidate is put in a compartment during the year of admission, they will be considered ineligible.
AILET doesn’t have an age limit. As long as you meet the eligibility you can give the exam.
