About NLU, National Law University, Jodhpur

NLU, Jodhpur has been awarded the 8th NIRF rank out of all the law colleges in India. It offers an integrated 5-year law program.

 The university has a well-stocked library with Indian, English and American law reporters, as well as books covering a variety of subjects, including Information Technology, IPR, trade, economics, biotechnology and bioinformatics. The University has also subscribed to national and international online libraries like Manupatra, Westlaw, J-Stor, Hein online, Lexis Nexis, Kluwer Arbitration, etc.

 It has Journals like NLUJ Law Review, trade, Law and Development, Indian Journal of Arbitration Law, Journal on Corporate Law and Governance, Journal on Comparative Constitutional Law and Administrative Law.

 NLUJ students have excelled in every field, whether its National or International Moots, debates, other co-curricular activities. Ali Amerjee (Semester X, Class of 2015) has been awarded a full scholarship of 2000 Euros by the International Academy for Arbitration Law, Paris to attend its Summer Session between June 29th - July 17th, 2015.

The University offers a unique five-year integrated undergraduate educational programs, in B.B.A., LL.B.(Hons.). BBA, LL.B., (Hons.) provides an integrated understanding of the interrelationship of Management Studies and Law in their entirety than in specified areas.

Admission shall be based on the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

 B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) has been designed per the changing nature of the socio-economic conditions of the society. This is based on new developments in the wake of Liberalization and Globalization, which have led to the expansion of market forces and a new kind of demand has come to the fore. Multidisciplinary integrated learning is truly the hallmark of this course.

Duration:  The Program shall comprise of two semesters spread over one year.

NLU Jodhpur  LL.M. (Corporate Laws, IPR and Technology Law) Admission: 

Admission shall be on the basis of the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT).

CLAT Eligibility

As all NLUs follow CLAT's guidelines for eligibility criteria for admission, find below the guidelines from the official website:

  • There will be no upper age limit for UG Programme in CLAT 2022.
  • As regards minimum percentage of marks in the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2 or an equivalent examination), the candidates must have secured:
    • Forty-five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General / OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories
    • Forty Percent (40%) marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST categories.
  • Candidates who are appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April, 2022 are also eligible to appear in CLAT 2022 examination. However, they shall be required to produce evidence of their passing the qualifying examination at the time of admission, failing which they shall lose their right to be considered for admission.
  • The result of the qualifying examination (i.e., 10+2) shall be submitted by the candidate at the time of admission failing which the candidate shall be ineligible for admission to the Course.
  • In case of equal marks, the break of tie shall be by the following procedure and order as under
    • Higher marks in the component/section on legal aptitude in the CLAT 2022 exam;
    • Higher age;
    • Computerised draw of lots.
