About MPDNLU Jabalpur

The Madhya Pradesh Dharamshastra National Law University (MPDNLU) is amongst the newest NLUs in India. It is located in the heart of the state of Madhya Pradesh in Jabalpur city. Established by the Madhya Pradesh Dharamshastra National Law University Ordinance in 2018, it is projected to be as promising as the rest of the top NLUs in India.

The NLU was established with the vision of imparting and disseminating the knowledge of law, and to promote the culture of research for the development and advancement of legal education.The Law School also aims to impart specialized and systematic instructions and training to the law students, research scholars, and officers performing administrative, quasi-administrative functions. The University not only aims to be a knowledge-driven institution but also a creativity and wisdom driven Institution.

Getting into MPDNLU Jabalpur

Programs Offered

Admission to both programs is based on merit determined through a Common Law Admission test (CLAT) conducted by the participating NLUs in rotation.

MPDNLU Jabalpur Eligibility

• B.A,LL.B (Hons)

• Candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) with 50% marks in CBSE or any equivalent exam conducted by any State Board or equivalent.
• There is no age limit for admission into the LLB Program.

• LLM:

• Candidate should have passed the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) from any recognized Board + 3 years Bachelor’s degree from any UGC-recognized university OR 3 years LLB degree from any UGC-recognized university with not less than 55% marks in aggregate for general candidates and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates.
• There is no age limit for admission into the LLM Program.

• Total number of seats: 120
• Seats reserved for M.P. Domicile Candidates (50%): 60

Out of the 20 General category seats:

• 8 seats are horizontally reserved for candidates having domicile certificate of the State of MP
• 6 seats are horizontally reserved for women candidates (30% out of 20 seats)
• 1 seat is horizontally reserved for Persons with Disability (5% out of 20 seats)

2.MPDNLU student intake for LLM

• Total number of seats: 30
• Seats reserved for M.P. Domicile Candidates (50%): 15

MPDNLU Jabalpur Fee Structure

Fee Structure for B.A. LL.B. (Hons)

• Total fees for boys: Rs.2,50,000/- + Mess charges and insurance.
• NRI/NRI sponsored Tuition fees: US$ 10,000/- + other charges as applicable.
• Total fees for girls: Rs.2,70,000/- + Mess charges and insurance.
• NRI/NRI sponsored Tuition fees: US$ 10,000/- + other charges as applicable.
