The State Common Entrance Test Cell, Maharashtra prescribes the MH CET Law syllabus for both the 3-Year LL.B. and 5-Year LL.B. programmes. Candidates should go through the syllabus carefully to understand the subjects and key topics covered in the exam. The syllabus mainly includes the following sections:
This section evaluates a candidate's interest in law, legal aptitude, and problem-solving ability. Questions are generally based on legal propositions supported by factual situations. Candidates are expected to assume the given propositions to be true and answer questions by applying logical reasoning and drawing suitable inferences.
This section tests a candidate's awareness of current events and general knowledge. Questions are usually based on recent national and international happenings along with important static GK topics. Since the exam is conducted in Maharashtra, candidates should also be familiar with basic facts related to the state.
This section evaluates a candidate's ability to identify patterns, understand logical relationships, and analyse arguments. Questions are designed to test reasoning skills such as drawing conclusions, completing arguments, making comparisons, and applying logical rules or principles to different situations. It focuses on understanding relationships between people, objects, and events through logical thinking.
This section tests a candidate's understanding of English vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension skills. Questions are asked to evaluate language proficiency, correct usage, and the ability to understand and interpret written passages. Candidates can expect questions based on vocabulary, sentence structure, grammar, and comprehension.
This section evaluates a candidate's basic numerical and problem-solving ability. The questions are generally based on Class 10 level mathematics and are designed to test fundamental calculation skills.
