About ILNU

Institute of Law was established under the umbrella of Nirma University in the year 2007. The vision of the university is to promote excellence in the field of legal education and to fulfil the ever increasing demand of quality legal professionals. ILNU offers state of art Moot court and intensive Moot Court Training from the first year and Legal clinic for Social Outreach and Clinical Training. The Library at ILNU consists of 11,350 books, 3307 bound volumes and has subscription to online databases like Scopus, Westlaw, Oxford Reports on International Law, Kluwer Arbitration Law, Manupatra, SCC, TAXMANN etc.

Getting into ILNU

ILNU Results Accepted

For B.A./B.Com.,LL.B (Hons)

• Admission to this program shall be based on the inter se All India merit rank of Common Law Admission test (CLAT)

For LL.M

• Admission to this program will be preferably based on CLAT. If not appeared in CLAT the candidate has to appear in ILNU Entrance Exam

For PhD

• The admission to this program is based on merit determined through the Entrance Test conducted by the University followed by Interviews

ILNU Eligibility

For B.A./B.Com.,LL.B (Hons)

• A candidate should have passed Higher Secondary/ Intermediate Examinations (10+2) or its equivalent examinations with not less than 50% aggregate marks
• There is no age limit as per the CLAT 2017 Common Rule
• Candidates are also required to fill in the application form of the Institute of Law, Nirma University in addition to the CLAT form

For LL.M

The University offers LL.M. in three specialisations; Constitutional & Administrative Law, Criminal & Security Law, and Legal Pedagogy & Research.

• A candidate should have successfully passed, three years LL.B after graduation or five years Integrated Law Degree Program as recognized by the Bar Council of India. Candidates should not have less than 55% marks in aggregate
• Those who have appeared in aforementioned exam and waiting for the result can also appli. Howeever, admission will be subject to fulfilment of eligibility criteria at the time of admission

For PhD

• The candidates holding Master Degree or equivalent with 55% or equivalent grade from a recognized university will be considered eligible for registration for the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the relevant program

INLU Intake and Reservation

For B.A./B.Com.,LL.B (Hons)

• The intake for the B.A.,LL.B (Hons) program is 120
• The intake for the B.Com.,LL.B (Hons) program is 60
• Up to 15% of the total intake is likely to be filled in under NRI/NRI Sponsored category
• Over and above the approved intake, 15% supernumerary seats will be for Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/ Foreign Nationals (FN) and Children of Indian Workers in Gulf Countries - South East Asia (CIWGC- SEA). The application procedure and detailed information regarding eligibility for admission under FN/PIO/CIWGC- SEA category will be separately notified by the university

For LL.M

• The intake for the postgraduate program is 20 seats
