AILET 2026 Exam Dates Out! Check now.

AILET 2026 Exam Date: In a notification, dated June 17, 2025, National Law University Delhi revealed the date for the “All India Law Entrance Test – 2026” for admission to a 5-year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.), LL.M., and Ph.D programmes. 

Amidst an ongoing process of selection in top NLUs via CLAT, NLU Delhi has chosen December 7, 2025, as the exam date for AILET 2026. 

Adhering to the exam calendar from the past few years, NLU Delhi has chosen the first Sunday of December 2025 as the exam day for AILET 2026. 

Usually, CLAT is conducted on the first Sunday of December, but due to the delayed CLAT result, even the CLAT 2026 notification for exam dates is delayed too.

Note: Students must note that these exam dates are subject to change until June 30, 2025, based on any concerns any institution might have with the conduct of the NLU entrance exam.

About AILET 2026

AILET, also known as All India Law Entrance Test or NLU Delhi Entrance Test, is a law entrance test conducted by the National Law University for admissions into its 5-Year B.A. LL.B., LL.M., and Ph.D programs. It is a national-level test, attracting a total of about 20,000 students.

AILET Notification 2026

On June 19, at around 5 in the evening, NLU Delhi released the AILET notification for admission in its coveted programs for the academic year 2026-27. Apart from the exam date release, candidates were also informed of the registration start date.

As there is no further mention of a change in the exam pattern or eligibility criteria for AILET, it is best believed that AILET 2026 is going to follow the exact same pattern as AILET 2026.

It is a significant notification release for law aspirants who are eyeing at a seat in national law university for the academic year 2026-27. Moreover, this release also indicate a few other things, let’s try to decode them with you below:

1. CLAT Notification Release is Around the Corner

After the CLAT 2025 result saga that happened this year; there was a point when students had lost all hope in the Consortium. But AILET’s exam date release brings back hope for CLAT 2026 aspirants and the exam date and CLAT 2026 notification is around the corner , preferably in the month of June.

2. CLAT 2026 Exam Date

But the second question that has found everyone puzzled is that, what would be the date of CLAT 2026 exam. With AILET taking precedence in schedule in the law academic calendar, will CLAT 2026 maintain its precedence in the academic calendar by taking place on November 30, 2025 or will it take place post AILET, on the third or fourth Sunday of December, 2025.

3. AILET 2026 Preparation
