English

The difficulty level of this section was easy-moderate. The section had questions based on vocabulary, tone, analogy type questions as usual types, the new entrants were punctuation, logical organization, sentence type etc. There were also plenty of questions based on theme, tone inference etc. The section was lengthy as only reading comprehension passages were there. The good attempt in the section could be 35-38 with an ideal score ranging from 30-32.

Logical Reasoning

The section was also based on the same passages as English. The difficulty level was moderate to difficult. The good attempt in the section could be 45-50 with an ideal score ranging from 35+.

This section was a surprise as a lot of questions were from this section, 10 passages and 7 questions each. There were a lot of questions on focused mainly on analytical reasoning around Blood relations, directions, DA etc., with major critical reasoning-based questions based on inference. A couple of questions also needed mathematical skills.

There was no legal reasoning question this time.

General Knowledge

The General Knowledge section was a complete savior. The general knowledge section was easy. It had most of the questions from current affairs. So, if students kept their eyes and ears open to news of the last six months this year, they could have easily attempted 23-25 questions with an idle score of 20+ in this question.

This section was a special delight to law students.

The questions were based on the person in news, place in news, sports etc. Most of the questions were from Current affairs but a few 3-4 from Static General Knowledge.

An attempt of 23-25 would be regarded as a good attempt for the students with an idle score of 20+.

Overall, the paper of AILET-2023 was a mixed bag of passages with questions of English and logical reasoning was merged. So many Logical questions could have felt like hurdles and few questions were tangentially related to the passages.
