SLAT 2021 Analysis

The Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT) 2021 for admission to Symbiosis Law Schools at Pune, Noida, Hyderabad, and Nagpur was conducted over a period of three days (July 10-12). Due to the ongoing pandemic, the exam was conducted in a home proctored online format. The exam went smoothly, but for the few students who did face technical issues, especially during the start of the test.

The changed format led to a change in the structure of the paper. The usual 150 questions were reduced to 60. The time limit was also decreased proportionally, with only 60 minutes allotted to complete the paper. Each question carried one mark; and had 4 options to choose from. There was no negative marking for incorrect attempts.

Like previous year, the Written Ability Test (WAT) was integrated along with the paper; and the essays were to be written online. The candidate had to choose between the two topics given; and write an essay on any one of them. The time allowed to complete the WAT exercise was 30 minutes.
