Admission to the BA LLB (Hons.) course is based on an All India Entrance Test conducted each year.

Eligibility: The eligibility for the Entrance Examination is a 10+2
Higher Secondary School certificate with 50% marks(SC/ST 45%) from a recognsed
board of education and is maximum 20 years of age(SC/ST 22years). The exact date
will be released through the official admission notification. The level of questioning
of the admission test is 10+2. The test will consist of questions covering English,
Analytical reasoning, Verbal reasoning, Legal reasoning, Legal aptitude and General
knowledge.

The intake is of 240 students bifurcated upon the two courses offered, The reservation shall be provided as per State Government rules. The OBC/ST/SC students of other states shall be treated as General candidates.
This university offers its students a course of five years, and then upon graduation provides the degrees, B.A, LL.B (Hons.), and B.Sc., LL.B (Hons.) degrees. LLM course has been started in 2007

Dr. Ram Manohar Lohiya National Law University, Lucknow is a university of Law established under U.P. Act No.28 of 2005.. The University is fully funded by the Government of Uttar Pradesh. The campus is developed in 40 acres of land in the heart of the capital city Lucknow. The University started its academic session from 17th August 2006 with 80 students (41 boys and 39 Girls).
