Admission
Admission to the First Year of the 5-year Program is made strictly
on merit on the basis of an All India Entrance Test, usually
held in january.
Course Structure
NUJS offers two integrated five- year courses, a BA, LLB (Hons)
degree course and a BSc LLB (Hons) degree course. Admission
to the university is through a nationally conducted admission
test that is conducted in different cities usually on the last
Sunday of January every year. To be eligible for admission students
must have completed 10 + 2 level or equivalent school education
with at least 50 per cent marks and should be below the age of 21 years on the 31st December. Students who are currently preparing for their twelfth-
standard school examination on the year of admission can also
appear in the test. Every year is 80 students are admitted into
the university. Out of these, 10 seats are reserved for SC /ST
and disabled students and 10 seats are reserved for foreign/
NRI students. The annual tuition fee is Rs 35000.
The post-graduate courses offered by the University include
a two-year LLM Degree, a research-based one-year MPhil Degree
and PhD/ LLB programmes.
College Infrastructure
Library - NUJS has a well-developed
library with books and periodicals covering a variety of disciplines
including law, social sciences and humanities. The library is
also developing a computer section where students will be allowed
access to the internet. The different schools have their own
libraries that contain collections in their respective specialized
area of law. The University also has a Legal Services Clinic
that is headed by a retired District Judge functions in the
University. It provides programmes for clinical education of
students. It also offers a variety of legal services as well.

Career Opportunities
Internship - University has sought
to provide students with a wide array of opportunities to gain
practical experience in the field. The Internship programme
accordingly forms an integral part of education at NUJS. Students
have to intern with law firms, Companies, Senior Advocates,
NGOs etc. NUJS students have interned with the top law firms,
companies and NGOs these includes:Amarchand Mangaldas,Anand
& Anand, ARA Law, AZB & Partners, Baker Mckenzie(Hong
Kong) etc.
