CLAT is held annually in December of every year. CLAT 2025 is tentatively scheduled for 3rd December 2024.

CLAT is conducted in offline mode, that is, pen-and-paper mode.

The one-time application fee which is non-refundable for CLAT2024 is:

  • INR 4,000 for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates.
  • INR 3,500 for SC/ST/BPL candidates.

There is no upper age limit prescribed for CLAT2024.

To be eligible to appear for CLAT 2024, candidates should have passed 10+2 (or its equivalent examination) with:

  • 45% marks (or an equivalent grade) for General/OBC/PWD/NRI/PIO/OCI candidates.
  • 40% marks (or an equivalent grade) for SC/ST categories.

Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination in March 2025 are eligible to appear for CLAT2025.
However, they are required to submit the passing certificate of the qualifying examination on completion. In case of the certificate isn’t produced, the candidate will not be eligible for admission to the course.

Yes. Other Law Schools/Universities accept CLAT scores for admissions. Some of the top universities include:

  • Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, New Delhi
  • Institute of Law, Nirma University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
  • University of Petroleum & Energy Studies, Dehradun, Uttarakhand.
  • NMIMS University, Mumbai
