G.N.L.U. inaugurates Legal Service Clinic to mark the celebration of its fourth Foundation Day

Gujarat National Law University (G.N.L.U.), which is one of the renowned law
schools in the country, is celebrating its fourth foundation day, on the
17th of July, 2007, by inaugurating its Legal Service Clinic. The ceremony
for which shall be presided over by Hon'ble Mr. Justice A.R. Dave of the
Gujarat High Court at the G.N.L.U. campus.

This day shall also see the students of the University organize a blood
donation and free eye testing camp at the GNLU campus. The Blood Donation
camp aims to bring awareness and encourage students to contribute towards
social causes in a small but gratuitous way.

The celebration shall be culminated by a cultural evening, organized by the
students and shall be presided by Hon'ble Shri Ashok Bhatt, Minister of Law
and Justice, at the Town Hall, Gandhinagar. The cultural function shall be
inaugurated by, Professor (Dr.) V.S. Mani, Director, G.N.L.U. In addition to
this, the evening shall see the presence of a host of other luminaries such
as Judges, Practicing Advocates, and Corporate delegations.

The first batch of the University is scheduled to graduate in 2009. The
recruitment process for the same has been set into motion, and holds a lot
of promise for the future. The nation looks forward to this new breed of
budding lawyers to join the posthumous legal fraternity, and help shape the
future of this ever prospering nation.
