  • Q.4) Are there any law colleges where admission is based on the 10+2 marks?
  • ILS Pune and Government Law College Mumbai admit students through their performance in the board exams and NOT through entrance exams. While we offer guidance for those applying to these colleges we do not provide any training since none is required. To learn more about these colleges visit the law schools link.
  • Q.7) Is there any online forum/support system for clarifying doubts and queries?
  • myLST is the 24 hour online support platform, where students have access to topic tests, general knowledge and legal updates, customized test analysis etc. The virtual classroom a part of myLST is a forum where students can post their doubts and queries on various topics, the same are responded to by the respective subject faculty
  • Q.9) Are there any additional charges for NRI to subscribe to LST Beacon / Test Series etc?
  • The cost of sending material outside India is much more than a domestic dispatch and therefore your draft amount will have to accommodate that extra cost. For this reason, to find out what your draft amount should be, you must first email us at info@lawentrance.com and tell us which country you are resident in. We'll get back to you with the exact draft amount.
  • Q.10) Does LST have any course for college graduates?
  • Graduates in any field are eligible for admission to 3-year LLB courses. However please check whether the college you are applying to has an entrance exam in the first place! While we certainly have no objection to your subscribing to the LST course, please note that though our course is not specifically designed for the 3 years LLB course, but for the 5 year LLB course, however, it has been found to be helpful to students who have taken the entrance test for 3 years LLB course.
  • Q.12) What was the cut-off score for entrance/admission tests for the colleges last year?
  • The cutoff marks are not important. They vary widely each year because the colleges do not use the system of cut off marks (that is, a system where all people who get above a certain score are admitted). They use a system whereby the top certain number of students, whatever their marks, are admitted. Since the questions and mix of students are very different each year, the marks obtained also vary widely and it is not really helpful to know the marks of the lowest ranking admitted student. Please note that in order to prepare effectively, it is STRONGLY encouraged that you obtain the past question papers of each exam that you are doing.
  • Q.13)Can a LST student change (upgrade) his/her LST Beacon subscription to LST Plus/Express/Span?
  • First check on the website whether you are within the time limit and whether seats are available (you should call the centre). If both are positive then all you have to do is send us a Demand Draft for the difference amount along with a covering letter mentioning that you are an existing LST Beacon subscriber (mention your enrolment ID) who wishes to upgrade to a particular course. You could even do the same by visiting the LST centre itself.
  • Q.15) Can one do a correspondence course in law?
  • Correspondence courses in Law are not normally recognised by the Bar Council of India, so please check if the degree you are considering is recognised. Otherwise, you will not be able to practice law with this degree. If you are not planning to practice law after completing the course but instead would like to gain knowledge about the law or some aspect of it, then yozu can certainly do a correspondence course.
  • Q.16) Does LST offer a one month crash course?
  • LST offers courses customized for those beginning their preparations after the board exams - LST Express and LST Beacon.

Graduates in any field are eligible for admission to 3-year LLB courses.
