Legal Aptitude
Legal Aptitude questions cover legal reasoning and legal G.K. questions which are in the form of facts and principles and you have to derive the answers by applying those principles to the facts. For Legal Reasoning you should read the principles in entirety and should be able to grasp the key points very carefully. The application of these key points to the facts also needs to be done with caution. Having a little legal knowledge helps in quick solving of these kinds of questions. The students should evaluate what is the legal ambit of each question and should find the right answer within that periphery. As for legal knowledge, reading newspapers and certain basic legal proposition will add to the preparation for this section. It is vital to approach it as “logical reasoning” and not be bogged down by the word “Legal”. Common sense and comprehension will work wonders in this section.
G.K. and Current Affairs
Read! Read! And Read! That’s all you can do for this section. Reading newspapers, magazines and social articles plays an important role in getting the edge in this section. Two things that you must keep in mind while preparing for this section-

Get hold of a standard “GK book” oriented towards CLAT.
English with Comprehension
This section should be attempted carefully while maintaining the reading speed. Some students prefer to read the passage first and then go to the questions while some tend to read the questions first and then scan the passage for answers. This might work with questions that are factual. However, for inference based questions this approach may prove fatal as you need to understand the passage to be able to attempt the questions correctly. Logical Reasoning

Mathematics
Although this section carries the lowest weightage in CLAT, you should not take it lightly. The questions asked in this section are pretty basic and devoting 30 minutes each day to this section will help you score 20 marks easily.
