Aligarh Muslim University Department of Law
Admission to the BA LLB (Hons) course is based on an All India Law Entrance Test conducted by the University. The test will contain objective type questions and short answer (descriptive) and it is held in the month of April. Students must have passed their HSC exam (10+2) or its equivalent. There are 100 seats for the BA LLB course.
Teaching Methodology - In addition to the classroom lectures, tutorial group discussions, assessment programs, practical training programs are held, where the students are attached in District Courts, High Courts and Supreme Courts. Organisation of legal literacy programs in collaboration with other institutions like - Consumer Forum, Centre of Adult Education etc.
Library - The library is in the process of being fully computerised and equipped with modern facilities and a large number of books and journals. At present the library contains 24000 books. The research scholars are having full facilities to make use of the seminar library for their higher studies.

Internships - The students are allowed to associate themselves with various organisations for Summer Training Programs and they are required to prepare reports. Some of the students have completed their Training Programs in NHRC, New Delhi. The students are also attached to various law firms of the Supreme Court of India; guided by the Secretary Bar Council, Supreme Court.
The college has complete hostel facilities attached with dining halls, hall library and seminar hall from Central Maulana Azad Library which functions round the clock.
The Faculty of Law, Aligarh Muslim University, is situated outside the main Campus of the University and therefore full adequate security has been provided by the University.
